Where Science Creates Hope
Research that improves everyday life
Driving orthopedic innovation
Preserving movement for life
The ability to move is critical to maintaining our health as we age. At Indiana University, we're working with orthopedic industry leaders to predict and prevent injuries, treat conditions like osteoporosis and arthritis, and expand access to advanced orthopedics for patients across the country. IU's work accelerates bioscience discovery, improving patient outcomes and helping people maintain their mobility.
Leading the science of memory
Fighting Alzheimer's with precision science
One in ten Hoosiers over the age of 65 are impacted by Alzheimer's disease or other dementias. Indiana University researchers are leading efforts to end Alzheimer's through advanced cellular models called organoids that mimic the structure of the human brain. With just a blood sample, we're transforming our understanding of the brain and speeding up the process of discovery.
We’re engineering organoids that other labs can request and use, ready to go for experiments. By generating fully functional organoids for the research community, IU’s work will speed the scientific process and get us all closer to new solutions to this disease.
