Leading musculoskeletal innovation

Indiana University is leading a statewide coalition to strengthen Indiana’s position as a global hub for musculoskeletal innovation. Bringing together more than 170 industry, clinical, and university partners, the NSF IMPACT Engine in Indiana will help move discoveries from the lab to the marketplace faster—creating new technologies, companies, and jobs while delivering life-changing solutions to the patients who need them.

Providing vital insights

Protecting supply chains

Indiana University researchers are developing a new tool to help Indiana poultry producers protect their flocks from costly avian flu outbreaks. By tracking the virus in wild bird populations through Indiana waterways, the team is building a public-facing dashboard that could alert farmers when disease is circulating nearby. The early-warning system would give producers valuable time to safeguard their businesses, Indiana’s poultry industry, and the communities that depend on it.
